Competition: International friendly
Market: Denmark to win against Montenegro
Odds: 7/10 @ William Hill
Denmark host Montenegro in an international friendly this evening, which could well be a tight affair given how close the two sides are in quality. The Danes have some stellar individual talent, but their form has been inconsistent in the last 18 months. Morten Olsen’s men have won just four games from their previous 11 played, and need to reverse their fortunes around in time for a more important game later this month.
They boast a strong lineup, with the likes of Kasper Schmeichel, Daniel Agger, Simon Kjaer, Christian Eriksen, and the oft-maligned Nicklas Bendtner, but wins have been alluding them for a long time, so they won’t have it all their own way tonight. Montenegro have Manchester City striker Steven Jovetic spearheading the attack, so they will carry a threat.
Denmark are using this friendly as a warm-up for a Euro 2016 qualifier to come, so they will want to build up some momentum for their impending clash against Serbia days later. As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 7/10 for the hosts to come out on top in their friendly.
