Depay believes he’s better for United exit

Memphis Depay has revealed that he thinks he’s a better player after leaving Manchester United. The Dutchman really struggled to get a foot hold in the first team at Old Trafford, and as a result, became a source of frustration both for the fans and some members of the media. The 24 year old spent two years in Manchester between 2015 and 2017, after making a big money move from PSV Eindhoven.

He showed flashes of brilliance but wasn’t able to maintain that on a consistent basis, and the relationship between himself and the club turned sour as a result. That led to him moving over to French football with Lyon, where he’s been a revelation as he helps the club to push for the championship.

Depay has served as one of many notable players to have come through the doors at United over the last few years, only to eventually fall short.
