Competition: Championship
Market: Derby win
Odds: 1/1 @ Bet 365
Desperate to reclaim their spot in the top-six, Frank Lampard’s Derby side will welcome Hull City to Pride Park on Saturday afternoon.
Starting with the hosts, although Derby might not have been at their best in last weekend’s 0-0 draw away at Preston, it has been an impressive start to Frank Lampard’s managerial career. Now unbeaten in their last four matches, including booking their spot in the fifth round of this year’s FA Cup, another win on Saturday could see them once again climb back into the playoff positions. One man who has been leading the Rams’ charge is Liverpool loanee, Harry Wilson. Extending his stay until the end of the season, the Wales international has already bagged 12 goals this season.
As for the visitors, although Nigel Adkins’ side will still be believing they can pull off a surprise playoff push, the Tigers must find the same form they entered the New Year with. Even though Hull are coming off the back of an impressive 2-0 win over Stoke last weekend, it has been their form away from the KCOM giving Adkins the biggest headache. Saturday’s visitors have failed to win any of their last three matches on the road and have conceded two or more goals in each of those appearances. Given Hull’s recent struggles on the road, we’re backing Derby to leave Pride Park with all three points.
