Competition: Championship
Market: Derby win
Odds: 19/10 @ Bet 365
Coming off the back of their best showing in midweek, Frank Lampard’s Derby side will have the opportunity to take top spot when they travel to the Riverside on Saturday afternoon.
Starting with the hosts, although Tony Pulis’ side are still tipped by many in the race for automatic promotion, Middlesbrough have shown some struggles of late. Coming off the back of a lacklustre showing in their 0-0 draw with Rotherham, the Reds have now managed to win just two of their last six outings in 90 minutes. While only their goal difference keeps them behind Leeds at the top of the table, Pulis will also be hoping for his side to improve their recent record in the North West. Middlesbrough have now failed to win any of their last three at the Riverside and have also scored just one goal on that run.
As for the visitors, still boosted by their iconic win at Old Trafford last month, it has been quite the rise for Frank Lampard’s side. Picking up a very impressive 4-1 win at Championship contenders West Brom in midweek, Derby are now unbeaten in their last four and a win on Saturday could see them leapfrog their hosts. One man to watch for the Rams will be summer signings Jack Marriot. Finding the net at the Hawthorns on Wednesday, the 24-year-old now has three in his last three.
