Championship promotion hopefuls Derby County are keen on securing a loan deal for Manchester United striker James Wilson, according to the Mail Online.
No less than twenty clubs enquired about the England U21 international last week, after the Red Devils completed the signing of French teenager Anthony Martial.
Louis van Gaal has assured Wilson that he is part of his first team plans, though he is more likely to get regular first team football if he moves elsewhere.
Since making his senior debut in May 2014, he has racked up eighteen appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals though he hasn’t featured in any match-day squad in the league or Europe so far this season.
Derby, who are also considering a move for West Bromwich Albion’s Victor Anichebe, appear to be the front runners in the race to secure Wilson’s services though they are set to face competition from a number of their second-tier rivals.
