Derby County manager Wayne Rooney on rejecting Everton approach (Video)

Wayne Rooney was contacted by Everton, the club where he began his playing career and to which he returned after a highly successful spell at Manchester United, over the vacant managerial job after the sacking of Rafa Benitez. However, Rooney says he’s happy with the job he’s got at Derby County.

🗣 “Everton approached my agent to ask to do an interview, which I turned down, I believe that I will be a Premier League manager, but I’ve got a job here I’m doing at Derby County which is an important job to me.”
