Championship high-flyers Derby County have signed Stephen Warnock from Leeds United on an initial eighteen month contract for an undisclosed fee, according to Sky Sports.
The 33 year old, who was captain at the Yorkshire club, moved to Elland Road from Aston Villa in two years ago and racked up sixty-seven appearances in all competitions – the last of which coming at Derby’s iPro Stadium where Leeds lost by two goals to nil.
Warnock began his career at Liverpool, and has also played for Blackburn Rovers and had a brief loan spell at Bolton Wanderers while internationally he has been capped two times for England.
Derby currently sit in second place in the Championship and are only below leaders Bournemouth on goal difference.
They host fierce rivals Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon having beaten them 5-0 in last season’s corresponding fixture, and they are priced at 8/11 for the win this time around.
