Eren Derdiyok has played down his hopes of a transfer away from Hoffenheim despite falling out of favour at the club.
The Switzerland international striker has been banished from Hoffenheim’s first-team squad and has trained with the reserves.
Derdiyok joined Hoffenheim from Bayer Leverkusen in July 2012, but failed to establish himself in the starting line-up.
The 25-year-old scored just one goal in 20 appearances last season as Hoffenheim won a relegation play-off with Kaiserslautern to preserve their top-flight status.
Despite reported interest from Hamburg and Serie A side Torino, Derdiyok is not confident of securing a move.
“I’ve always behaved correctly,” he told Blick .
“But I can’t run amuck or make a fuss.
“Hamburg currently has too many players and still has a few to get rid of.
“Torino isn’t an issue for me. Italy does not excite me, Torino is always at the bottom.
“Most of the teams are now complete. I believe that little will happen in the near future”
