Portuguese daily newspaper O Jogo has learned that Arsenal are keeping close tabs on Leixoes full-back Derick Poloni.
The 24-year-old had played third division football until last summer, when he joined his current employers on a free transfer, and he didn’t need a lot of time to prove his worth.
Poloni has generated a great deal of interest from other clubs with his rock-solid showings this term, and with Leixoes unlikely to gain promotion to the elite division, a summer exit is on the cards.
O Jogo has also learned that Arsenal scout Louis Boa Morte watched the Brazilian in the 2-2 draw with Arouca, while Montpellier scouts were also present.
Derick Poloni has so far made 34 competitive appearances for Leixoes, producing 1 goal and 3 assists in the process.
