Italy striker Mattia Destro looks unlikely to remain with AC Milan beyond the current season, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The highly rated footballer joined the Rossoneri in January on a six-month loan with an option to buy for €16 million, but he had a very difficult start to his career at San Siro.
Destro only managed two goals in ten league appearances, while failing to nail down a regular starting berth.
As a result, the club officials have been far from happy with his contribution and they have no plans to exercise the buy-out clause.
Milan would only consider buying Destro in case the asking price is cut in half, but chances are Roma would not agree to such a deal.
The 24-year-old also struggled for playing time at Stadio Olimpico, but he was pretty impressive every time he was called upon, notching 24 goals in 33 Serie A starts for the Giallorossi.
