Siena forward Matia Destro admits he is flattered by interest from major Italian clubs such as Juventus and Roma.
The 20-year-old forward has been attracting a lot of interest with his performances this season, and it appears to be only a matter of time before he joins one of the Italian giants.
The Italian Under-21 international is followed by Juventus and he admits a move to Turin is a realistic possibility.
“To be of interest to a side like Juventus is very pleasing,” Destro was quoted as saying in Tuttosport. “However, that link was only there while I was scoring goals.
“The future will tell me what is best for myself – whether to play in the provinces or whether to join a big club.”
Roma are another club interested in the player’s services, and the youngster is tempted by the prospect of playing alongside his friend Fabio Borini.
“Roma is a great club and they’ve made some good signings, particularly Borini. To have a teammate like him, who is a friend, would be something important.”
Destro have established an excellent attacking partnership with Emanuele Calaio at Siena, and the pair played a big role in club’s escape from the danger zone.
The highly rated forward has so far scored 5 goals and made 3 assists in 20 Serie A games, although he failed to score a single goal in last eight appearances.
