Bulgarian strugglers PFC Belasitsa Petrich have appointed former Yugoslavian international Stjepan Deveriæ as their new coach, replacing Aliosha Andonov who resigned at the weekend.
The 46-year-old takes over a side lying second from bottom of Bulgaria’s top flight following Saturday’s home defeat by PFC Lokomotiv Sofia. Deveriæ, selected by Yugoslavia for the 1982 FIFA World Cup and the 1984 UEFA European Championship, also scored five goals for his country at the Los Angeles Olympics.
