During a recent interview, Angel Di Maria confirmed that he wants his last club in European football to be Paris Saint-Germain. The 30 year old’s time on the continent began back in 2007 with Benfica, before a big money move to Real Madrid. He then had a tainted one year spell with Manchester United that flew by, before jumping ship to French football with the aforementioned PSG.
This statement seems to indicate that he wants to move back outside of Europe before his playing days are over, which will likely be in the next five or six years. While it’s great to see that he’s got this kind of determination and pride in playing for PSG, it also hints at the fact that he could end up returning home to Argentina.
The possibilities are endless, but one thing is for sure, many fans will be keeping their eye on these proceedings to see what happens next.
