Roberto Di Matteo and Juan Mata believe Chelsea can knock Napoli out of the Champions League if the fans get behind them.
The west Londoners face an uphill challenge after a 3-1 defeat in the first leg but both player and manager feel that progression into the next round is still possible.
“It’s a big game for us, just like a final. We need two goals at least to qualify and we will try to do it, try to win the game and to qualify,” Mata told the club’s official website.
“They (Napoli) are very good, they showed in the first game how good they are. I think they have very high quality strikers upfront like (Marek) Hamsik, (Ezequiel) Lavezzi and (Edinson) Cavani but we have good players as well so it is going to be a big battle for us.”
“I believe in the support from Stamford Bridge and in the team, and I believe we can do it.”
Di Matteo has almost a full squad to pick from and also believes that the Blues have what it takes to make the quarter-finals.
“I think we are ready, everyone is fit which is great,” the interim manager said.
“(Raul) Meireles is suspended but I think we look good, we look confident and we need one of those special cup nights.”
