Di Vaio hints at MLS move

The agent of Bologna forward Marco Di Vaio has revealed that his client could move to the MLS at the end of the season.

The 35-year-old is playing his fourth season for Bologna and is still considered one of the key players in the side.

His goals have helped keep Felsinei in the elite division over the years, but it looks as though the time has come for the veteran striker to part ways with Bologna.

The player’s representative confirms that his client could leave the club in the summer in search of a new challenge.

“At the age of 35 you can be tempted by a new experience. However, there is nothing concrete at this moment,” Federico Pastorello told Odeon TV.

Pastorello explains that Major League Soccer could be the next destination for the highly rated forward.

“I too heard this rumour that Montreal Impact were interested in Di Vaio, but I haven’t spoken to anyone.

“I will not deny, the player could certainly think about it. He certainly wouldn’t play for another Italian club, as he is too fond of Bologna.”

The former Juventus striker has largely impressed since arriving to Bologna on a free transfer from Genoa, having scored 65 league goals in 137 Serie A appearances.

Di Vaio has been in fine form this term as well, scoring 10 goals in 31 league fixtures.
