Abou Diaby could be set to sign a new contract at Arsenal, according to the Express.
The midfielder has made just one appearance for the North London club so far this season, playing sixty-seven minutes of the League Cup third round defeat to Southampton as his long term injury woes continue.
This is his tenth season under Arsene Wenger, though he has made just one hundred and eighty appearances in all competitions, scoring nineteen goals.
His current deal is set to expire at the end of the season, though manager Arsene Wenger will assess the France international’s situation in the coming weeks.
Prior to his move to the Emirates Stadium, Diaby played fourteen times for Auxerre while he has been capped just sixteen times by his country.
He scored his one and only international goal came in a 1-0 win over Finland in qualification for last summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.
