West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame has suggested that he could join Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The Senegalese has seen his stock rise a great deal since moving to English Premier League, having impressed at Wigan Athletic and West Ham.
The 26-year-old has long been linked with a big club move and he has now suggested that Liverpool are one of the sides showing interest in his signature.
“Two years ago (before joining West Ham) I wanted to join a team with ambitions,” Diame was quoted as saying in Daily Mail.
“Overall, my season has been okay, although I think it is not up to last season. I started badly, but gradually I got my bearings.
“Liverpool? I can’t tell you if I will be a Liverpool player next season. But I think my name is still on their wanted list.
“I don’t hide it, I’m ambitious and I want to join a top-six side. I am 26 years old and it’s time to take that step.”
Momo Diame spent his early career in France, playing for Lens before representing Linares and Rayo Vallecano in Spain.
The Senegal international left the Spanish side for Wigan Athletic a year later and went on to make 96 Premier League appearances for the Latics, scoring 5 goals in the process.
He moved to West Ham two years back and he has since bagged 7 goals in 63 league outings for the Boleyn Ground outfit.
