Barcelona beat Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu for the second time in a few days on Saturday after knocking them out of Copa Del Rey on Wednesday. This was their fourth consecutive win at the home of the Champions League holders – the longest such streak in the history of El Clasico.
It was Ivan Rakitić who scored the only goal of the game in the 26th minute, but right at the stroke of halftime an incident broke out between the two captains as Sergio Ramos appeared to have hit Lionel Messi in the face. To be fair, Messi did swing his leg towards Ramos and made the Real defender leap to avoid it, and he did roll around a bit too dramatically, but it does seem like there was contact between Ramos’ hand and Messi’s face. Take a look.
