According to The Mirror, Wolverhampton Wanderers target Diego Costa wants more than £250,000 per week as salary. It has been reported that Wolves are interested in signing the former Chelsea striker following the injury to Raul Jimenez.
Costa is a free agent at the moment. The former Chelsea star had his contract at Atletico Madrid recently terminated. It was due to run out at the end of the season. The 32-year-old is now on the hunt for a new club, and Wolves have been mooted as a possible destination.
The Spain international striker’s reported desire to get £250,000 per week is likely to be a problem for Wolves. It is hard to see the Wanderers cough up that much money for a 32-year-old even until the end of the season. If Costa wants to play in the Premier League with Wolves, then he will have to accept a pay-cut.
