Fenerbahce captain Diego Lugano is on the verge of making a switch to Paris Saint-Germain, Turkish newspaper Hurriyet reports.
The Uruguayan defender has been tipped to leave the Turkish giants this summer, with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain being mentioned as possible destinations.
The player was reportedly having second thoughts, but he eventually decided to leave when Fenerbahce were evicted from UEFA Champions League.
Paris Saint-Germain have taken advantage of the situation and offered €3.5 million for the player’s services.
With no income coming from European competitions this season, Fenerbahce are likely to cash in on their star player, with the negotiations between the two clubs already in advanced stage.
Lugano, who recently won the 2011 Copa America with Uruguay, will earn €2.5 million per campaign at Parc des Princes.
