Argentine radio programme America & Closs has suggested that Diego Milito is pondering a summer return to Racing Club de Avellaneda.
The experienced striker will be out of contract in the summer and it is highly unlikely he will be offered a new deal at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
And even though some European clubs are showing interest in his services, Milito is being heavily linked with a return to Argentina.
The 34-year-old has reportedly had a private meeting with Racing Club chairman Victor Blanco, which is enough to suggest he could rejoin a club where it all started for him.
Milito came through the youth ranks at Racing Club and went on to score 34 goals in 137 league games before moving to Genoa in 2003.
He has since enjoyed successful spells with Real Zaragoza, Genoa and Inter Milan, but his European career appears to be drawing to a close.
