FC Porto defender Diego Reyes has been the subject of interest from Chivas Guadalajara, according to Mexican media outlet Informador.
The 22-year-old joined the Dragons from Club America last summer, but he has since struggled to prove his worth at Estadio do Dragao.
While making five starts in the league last term, Reyes was restricted to one substitute appearance this season and he is desperate to leave the club in search of first team football.
According to Informador, Chivas Guadalajara are ready to offer him an escape route from Portugal, with the Mexican side hoping to sign the centre-back on loan.
Despite the lack of first team football, Reyes made Mexico’s World Cup squad, albeit making just one appearance at the tournament finals.
But, having enjoyed three very successful seasons in Mexican top flight with Club America, he is still held in high regard by clubs from his native country.
