(GSM) – Juventus midfielder Diego is happy to stay in Turin despite reports linking him with a move to Bundesliga champions Bayern München.
Bayern director Christian Nerlinger claimed that the German club was offered the player by eight different agents.
However, the former Werder Bremen star has denied Nerlinger’s claim and insists he wants to stay at Juventus and fight for his place in the first-team.
“I want to stay at Juventus to redeem myself by having a great season.
“I don’t know why (Bayern) have said this, it’s not true. It was Bayern who wanted me, as everyone knows, last year when Juventus were dealing with Werder.
“As everyone knows, my agent is my father. If other agents are offering me to other teams this does not reflect the reality of the facts.
“I am happy at Juventus and I want to stay at this club until the end of my contract. I don’t understand Nerlinger’s comments.
“I am concentrating with my team and I am certain of being able to give a lot of happiness to the Juventus fans.”
However, it has been reported that the 25-year-old Brazilian is deemed surplus to requirements by new Juve manager Luigi Del Neri.
