Dier pens new Spurs deal

Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier has signed a new long term contract, according to Sky Sports.

The defender-come-defensive midfielder has put pen to paper on a new five year deal with the North London club which is set to keep him at White Hart Lane until 2020.

Dier moved to England last summer, and has since racked up forty appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.

He has started all four league games under Maurico Pochettino so far this season, netting in last month’ss 2-2 draw against Stoke City.

Prior to his move to Spurs, the twenty-one year old played in Portugal with Sporting while internationally he has been capped by England at every level from U18 to U21.

Spurs, who have just three points from their opening four games so far this season, travel to bottom of the table Sunderland on Sunday afternoon with the away win priced at 10/11.
