Middlesbrough’s Didier Digard isn’t likely to play again this season as the defender injured both legs and should be out for about 12 weeks.
The 22-year-old was tackled by former teammate Lee Cattermole in Boro’s Premier League clash with Wigan on Saturday, and hurt both legs in the process.
An expert confirmed that the player has a partial rupture to the quadriceps muscle in his left leg, in addition to a tea to the medial ligament in his right knee.
The Frenchman joined Middlesbrough from Paris Saint-Germain at the start of the season, and appeared in most important games.
