Digne praises Everton switch

Everton defender Lucas Digne has claimed that his Everton move was a big reason why he has been able to break back into the France setup. Digne didn’t feature for Les Bleus at the World Cup but always felt like moving somewhere he’d be able to play consistently would help to further his international career. It turns out that was an accurate thought process, and his work with the Toffees has clearly been recognised.

Digne has had a strong start to life at Goodison Park, and it seems as if he’s only going to keep improving as the weeks and months go on. Everton themselves have been a bit inconsistent but Digne’s presence in the first team has certainly added something to their game, and as we look ahead to the remainder of the campaign, it feels like they’ll continue to improve and push their way further up the table.
