Digne set for new Everton deal

According to a recent report from Liverpool Echo, Everton have opened talks with Lucas Digne about a new contract with the club.

Contrary to many other players in the current landscape of world football, talks are actually believed to be going quite well with the Toffees being confident in their ability to lock him down to a long term deal. He is currently half-way through the five year deal that he signed back in summer 2018, and even though he’s faced a spell on the sideline through injury, he’s still viewed as one of Everton’s best players in the current era.

On the pitch he needs to keep that confidence going when he eventually returns to full fitness, and while we all know that’s much easier said than done, he’s the sort of player who seems capable of switching it on at every available opportunity – and Everton desperately need that moving forward.
