Manchester United are weighing up January bid for West Ham hotshot Dimitri Payet, according to Le 10 Sport.
The Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is determined to reinforce his creative department in the winter transfer window and the France star has emerged as his primary target.
The Portuguese manager is believed to be a huge fan of Payet and he believes the time has come to try and bring him to Old Trafford.
Following West Ham’s dismal start to the season, the highly rated midfielder could decide to leave the Hammers for greener pastures, and he would probably prefer to remain in England.
Dimitri Payet, 29, has so far made 59 competitive appearances for the Hammers, scoring 17 goals and setting up another 24.
Sitting just one point above the bottom three, West Ham can be backed at 6/1 to suffer relegation to the Championship, although they are still expected to turn the season around.
