Liverpool emerged victorious from their roller coaster of a match against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday. The Merseysiders were 3-0 up within 15 minutes from the kick-off, courtesy of Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah, but Spurs launched a fierce comeback and drew level in the second minute of stoppage time, the work of former Everton forward Richarlison after Harry Kane and Son Heung-min had reduced the Reds’ lead.
But it was Diogo Jota who had the last word, making the most of a gift from Spurs winger Lucas Moura practically in the final seconds of the match.
