Rangers pair Madjid Bougherra and El-Hadji Diouf have escaped bans after their behaviour during a heated Scottish Cup final loss to Celtic.

The Scottish Football Association handed Diouf a 5000 Euro fine, while Bougherra was docked 2500 Euros.

Both were sent off at Celtic Park on March 2 and faced the charge of ‘misconduct of a significantly serious nature’ for their behaviour and have been issued warnings of further punishment for any future misdemeanours.

Assistant manager Ally McCoist, who was involved in an altercation with Celtic boss Neil Lennon after the final whistle, is still awaiting the verdict of his two-match touchline ban.

Lennon served a four-match ban and will return to the Celtic dugout for Tuesday night’s Scottish Premier League clash against St Johnstone.

Diouf, Bougherra and Steven Whittaker, who was also sent off during the match, will be suspended for Rangers’ first Scottish Cup game next season.
