Diouf rejects Liverpool switch?

“If I had the chance again I would go to Manchester United or Barcelona. At the time they wanted me also”.

El Hadji Diouf made those comments during a recent interview with RMC Sport, when he was asked which shirt he regrets wearing. Of course, a lot of fans are going to completely ignore everything the former Senegal international says, mainly because of his reputation in the game.

Diouf was often severely disliked during his time in football, especially when he was over in England. While he had a few bright moments for the Reds he certainly wasn’t a fan favourite by any stretch of the imagination, with many supporters actually being happy when he departed.

A move to Barcelona would’ve potentially been interesting as would a move to Old Trafford, but it feels like he still wouldn’t have been able to thrive there in a way that would warrant an extended run.
