“Disastrous night” – Mirror journalist John Cross delivers verdict on Arsenal defeat to West Ham (Video)

Arsenal missed the chance to return to the top of the Premier League by unexpectedly losing at home to West Ham on Thursday.

With Tomas Soucek and former Gunner Kostas Mavropanos scored for the Hammers, and it could’ve been worse with Declan Rice giving his former club a late penalty, which David Raya saved from Said Benrahma.

Arsenal dominated possession with 75% and took a total of 30 shots, but they couldn’t find a way to score.

There’s still half a season to go, but the feeling at the moment is that the Gunners missed an important step in the Premier League title race.
