In the last days of this summer’s transfer window, headlines were mostly dominated by Brazilian striker Robinho, who made a last-gasp move from Real Madrid to Manchester City.
Robinho made very clear in the last weeks, that he no longer wished to play for Real Madrid. He even hosted his own press conference to confirm that once more.
What exactly caused this hostility remains something one can only speculate about, but surely Madrid’s wishes to include the Brazilian in a player trade with Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t help.
The question is: Should Robinho have done things in a more diplomatic manner, or did Real Madrid deserve the treatment they received?
