According to multiple sources, Liverpool have no intention of selling Divock Origi this month, despite the Belgian being far from having a place in the regular starting XI. There has been interest expressed from clubs in the Bundesliga and the Serie A, but the Merseysiders won’t be considering any offers.
Apparently, manager Jurgen Klopp has asked Origi not to push for an exit at the moment as his services will be needed, with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah both currently representing their countries at the African Cup of Nations. Further more, Liverpool are about to start their FA Cup campaign against Shrewsbury on Sunday, and quite apart from the Premier League title race, they still have hopes of winning the Carabao Cup and the Champions League as well.
Origi’s contract expires at the end of the season, but Liverpool are likely to try and trigger the performance-based extension option to avoid losing his services for nothing.
Liverpool are not planning to sell Divock Origi in January despite approaches from Serie A and Bundesliga clubs. No negotiation for Luís Diaz with FC Porto – Origi will be needed and Klopp asked him to stay until June, as things stand. 🔴 #LFC

Despite never really establishing himself as a regular starter, the 26-year-old has carved his name into Liverpool’s history with some incredibly important goals, including several Merseyside Derby winners, a brace in the 2019 Champions League semifinal comeback against Barcelona, and the second goal in the final against Tottenham Hotspur that made sure the trophy made its way to Anfield.
