Djibril Sidibe talks up summer exit

Lille full-back Djibril Sidibe has made it clear that he hopes to leave les Dogues for a top European club this summer.

The 23-year-old has impressed playing at left-back for the Ligue 1 giants, and he has seen his name linked with quite a few top sides.

PSG and West Ham are both prepared to submit substantial offers for the defender’s services, and he admits he is “very likely” to leave les Dogues this summer.

And despite establishing himself as one of the leading left-backs in French Ligue 1, Sidibe hopes he will be used in his preferred right-back position from next season.

The highly rated footballer says that he will evaluate a number of aspects before making a decision on his future.

“Everything will depend on the project, but I will think in terms of Champions League football, playing time, my family and financial aspect,” Sidibe confessed to L’Equipe.

The French footballer was in fine form last season, having managed 4 goals and 3 assists in 37 Ligue 1 appearances.
