(GSM) – France manager Raymond Domenech has admitted his side need a ‘miracle’ to qualify to the knock-out phase of the World Cup.
Les Bleus were stunned by a quick Mexico side on Thursday which beat the World Cup runners-up 2-0.
France must now beat hosts South Africa in their last match of the group stage to stand a chance to go to the second round.
Domenech told TF1: “I’m lost for words.
“It’s a real disappointment for those who believed in us. We did try but there was always something that didn’t work.
“There’s one match left. We’ll play for pride and hope for a miracle. We needed a draw to keep our fate in our hands and couldn’t get it.
