Domenico Criscito hints at Genoa return

Zenit full-back Domenico Criscito has all but confirmed that he will be returning to Serie A at the end of the season.

Despite impressing in the Russian Premier League, the 31-year-old was always keen on moving back to Italy, and his wish looks set to be granted.

Namely, Criscito will be out of contract in the summer and he has now moved to reveal that former club Genoa lead the chase for his signature.

“As everybody knows, Genoa is in my heart. As far as the official aspects are concerned, Genoa are interested in me, there are other teams too, but my choice is already made,” Criscito told Sky Italia.

Domenico Criscito has so far enjoyed four different spells with the Rossoblu, making a total of 153 Serie A appearances and scoring 9 goals.

The former Italy international spent last seven years at Zenit, lifting two Russian Premier League trophies.
