The experienced Italian left-back Domenico Criscito has left Zenit Saint Petersburg and will be returning home after seven years in Russia.
The 31-year-old defender played his last game for Zenit this weekend, waving goodbye in a comprehensive 6-0 victory over SKA-Khabarovsk on Sunday.
Criscito moved to Zenit in 2011 and made the total of 153 Russian Premier League appearances. The versatile defender who is equally effective in the back and going forward won two Russian titles with Zenit, while he also added a Russian Cup trophy and two Russian Super Cup medals to his trophy cabinet during his seven-year stay.
Domenico Criscito leaves Zenit as a free agent and will return to his boyhood club Genoa in the summer.
I Rossoblu have already agreed a three-year deal with the versatile defender. Genoa will play host to Torino in the final round of Serie A on Saturday. They have been given betting odds of 6/4 to finish the campaign with three points.
