Bisoli, 43, took over at the Sardinian club in the off-season after guiding Cesena to top-flight promotion but was dismissed following Cagliari’s 1-0 home loss to Genoa.
That loss, their fourth in six games, left Cagliari 17th on the table with 11 points from 12 games and outside the relegation zone on goal difference.
Donadoni, who led Italy to the quarter-finals of the 2008 European Championship, has not managed a club since being sacked by Napoli last October.
Donadoni’s first game in charge will be at fellow relegation battlers Brescia on Sunday.
