Inter defender Giulio Donati has confirmed that he is to discuss his future with the club amid reports he has been sold to Bayer Leverkusen.
Donati is set to return to Milan after competing in the UEFA Under-21 Championship with Italy this month.
The full-back was unable to help Devis Mangia’s team overcome Spain in the final but reportedly caught the eye of the Bundesliga outfit in their run through the tournament.
However, the 23-year-old insists that he knows nothing of such an arrangement and is yet to speak with the hierarchy at San Siro.
“I’ll evaluate the situation when I get back to Italy,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“At the moment I don’t know anything and my agents have advised me to not talk about transfers.
“I’d happily stay in Italy, but if there is no space for me there then it is only normal to start looking elsewhere.”
Donati has so far failed to break into the first-team squad at Inter and spent last season on loan at Serie B club Grosseto.
However, despite a lack of playing time, Donati stressed that he would be delighted to stay with Inter.
“I’d love to return to Inter, but the directors will have to have their say,” he added. “I’d say yes to the Nerazzurri with my eyes closed.”
