Borussia Dortmund are hot on the trail of AS Roma defender Antonio Rudiger, according to Il Messaggero journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.
The Millionaires are in the market for a new centre-back, with Mats Hummels set to join Bayern Munich and Neven Subotic also expected to leave.
Borussia Dortmund appear to have not only made Antonio Rudiger their primary target, but also submitted a €24 million proposal for his services.
That is what Il Messaggero journalist Emanuele Giulianelli wrote in his Twitter account, so it appears that the ball is now in AS Roma’s court.
Antonio Rudiger has fared pretty well since joining the Giallorossi from Stuttgart last summer, making 30 league appearances for his new club and scoring 2 goals.
It remains to be seen whether AS Roma will be ready to entertain offers for his services just a year after bringing the player to Stadio Olimpico, but the reality is the club are not in a position to reject a big money proposal.
