Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have submitted an offer for Atalanta full-back Hans Hateboer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Millionaires plan to sign a long-term successor to Lukas Piszczek and the Dutch defender has now emerged as their top target.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Borussia recently offered €15 million for the 24-year-old footballer, although Atalanta want in excess of €20 million for their prized asset.
Hans Hateboer has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in Bergamo this term, making 33 Serie A appearances and featuring in 8 Europa League games.
The talented right-back was handed his Netherlands debut in the March friendly against England, and he could now be joining a top European club.
