Dortmund chief rules out Goetze sale

Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke has rejected claims linking wonderkid Mario Goetze with a summer move to one of the European giants.

The 18-year-old Goetze has been attracting interest from Barcelona and Manchester United among others, but Hans-Joachim Watzke insists the youngster will remain at Signal-Iduna Park.

“Especially for Goetze I can say: ‘He is not for sale’,” Watzke told Bild.

“Mario has a contract with us until 2014, and he will remain in Dortmund at least until then.”

On the other hand, Wazke reveals the club would be prepared to listen for offers for Nuri Sahin, Mats Hummels and Lucas Barios.

“There is nothing in the speculations, since all our star players are tied to long-term contracts.

“But, if clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid were to come knocking, we will be fair and talk to the players concerned.”
