Daily newspaper L’Equipe claims that Borussia Dortmund have emerged as favourites to sign French forward Jean-Kevin Augustin from Paris Saint-Germain.
Having seen his first team chances severely limited at Parc des Princes, the 19-year-old is considering his options and he is widely expected to leave the Saints at the end of the season.
With the player’s current deal due to expire in June 2018, Borussia Dortmund are ready to pounce and they will reportedly offer around €8 million for the talented footballer.
The Millionaires are preparing for life after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and they believe that the Frenchman would be a good addition to the squad.
While bagging seven goals for the reserve side in France’s fourth tier, Augustin has only managed one goal in 10 league appearances for the senior team, although he spent less than 200 minutes in total on the pitch this term.
