Dortmund confirm Pulisic to Chelsea

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the sale of Christian Pulisic to Chelsea.

The deal will see the USA international remain at the Signal Iduna Park for the rest of the season on loan, and make his way to Stamford Bridge in the summer. The fee the London club will be paying for the transfer will be €64million.

There has been much guesswork this season when it comes to the future of Pulisic as the arrival of Jadon Sancho last summer saw him lose his spot in the starting XI. He has mostly been linked with Chelsea as a potential replacement for Eden Hazard, who has repeatedly named Real Madrid as his ‘dream club’, but Liverpool had also been mentioned as a move to Anfield would see him reunited with manager Jurgen Klopp.

However, Klopp has already stated that his club would only turn to the transfer market if an injury crisis forces their hand, and it’s now official that the 20-year-old winger will be moving to Chelsea in the summer.
