Dortmund eyeing Davy Klaassen

Dutch media outlet Elf Voetbal is reporting that Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are weighing up summer bid for Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen.

The Millionaires have been impressed with the 22 year old footballer and they could try to bring him to Signal-Iduna Park this summer.

Dortmund were looking to bid for Klaassen when it looked as though Ilkay Gundogan would be leaving, but now that he has extended his contract for another year, BVB may wait some more before making their interest concrete.

Davy Klaassen is another impressive product of Ajax’s famed youth academy, and he has already left his mark on the senior team.

The attacking midfielder made a total of 62 Eredivisie appearances, scoring 17 goals in the process.

Klaassen, who has a contract until June 2018 at Amsterdam ArenA, represented Netherlands at various youth levels, while he has been capped two times by the senior national team.
