Dortmund eyeing Kevin Trapp

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are weighing up January move for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Kevin Trapp, France Football has suggested.

The Millionaires will soon stay without veteran shot-stopper Roman Weidenfeller, and seeing as how they have not been impressed with performances of Roman Burki, they could try and lure the former Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper to Signal-Iduna Park.

This is probably the best possible time to launch an assault on Trapp, considering that the 26-year-old has been frustrated at playing second fiddle to Alphonse Areola.

The Germany international reportedly wants to leave in search of first team football, and he probably wouldn’t mind returning to Bundesliga.

Trapp had made 35 Ligue 1 outings in his maiden season with Paris Saint-Germain, but lost his place in the starting line-up shortly after Alphonse Areola returned from a loan spell at Villarreal.

With his French colleague struggling trough injury, Trapp could start tomorrow’s clash against Arsenal, where the Saints are 12/5 to emerge victorious.
