La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Borussia Dortmund have joined the chase to sign Polish midfielder Karol Linetty from Sampdoria.
The 21-year-old only joined the Blucerchiati this summer from Lech Poznan, but he in turn enjoyed an excellent start to his career in Italy.
Linetty needed just a handful of appearance in Italian Serie A to catch the eye of high-profile clubs, with AS Roma and Napoli casting admiring glances his way.
Sport Bild has now learned that Borussia Dortmund are keen as well, as they aim to reinforce the midfield department due to Nuri Sahin’s expected departure.
Karol Linetty has a deal until June 2021 with Sampdoria, and he would probably be interested in a move to Signal-Iduna Park where his international teammates Robert Lewandowski, Jakub Blaszczykowski and Lukasz Piszczek have enjoyed some very successful years.
The talented midfielder has started 11 Serie A fixtures this season, picking up 3 yellow cards in the process.
