French daily L’Equipe suggests that Borussia Dortmund are weighing up move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kevin Gameiro.
The same source reported earlier this week that Lille were keen on the highly rated striker, but it appears les Dogues will face a stiff competition for the player’s signature.
Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is eager to sign a player who would act as a back-up for star striker Robert Lewandowski and has set his sights on the France international.
Gameiro is looking to leave Parc des Princes in search of first team football, but he is unlikely to be too interested in playing second fiddle to Lewandowski.
However, with the Polish striker likely to leave Borussia for greener pastures at the end of the season, Gameiro would not be far from becoming first choice striker at Signal-Iduna Park.
The 25-year-old boasts a decent scoring record in French Ligue 1, having netted 72 times in 195 league appearances for Strasbourg, Lorient and PSG.
