German newspaper Bild understands that Borussia Dortmund are showing interest in Hertha striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga.
Following some under-par displays last season, the 21-year-old was loaned to Hamburg this summer in exchange for Per Skjelbred.
That proved to be an excellent piece of business for both clubs, but it was Lasogga who largely impressed in the opening exchanges.
The highly rated forward went on to score six goals in as many Bundesliga games for HSV, which has seen his name linked with top clubs from Germany.
According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke and Hannover are thought to be keen on his services.
Chances are that Lasogga will remain at Hamburg until the end of the season, but Hertha could have a real battle on their hands to try and keep hold of him next summer.
After giving a good account of themselves in the 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich, Hertha are 13/10 to return to winning ways when they host Schalke on Saturday.
